Nina Lara has been designing and creating unique jewelry for over 8 years. Her jewelry is handcrafted and she explored all possible jewelry making techniques. Her latest passion is sculptural wire forms in jewelry. She is finding her inspiration in unique gemstones, forms, lines and colors combination. She lives in Northwest for 11 years and always is looking for bright colors to bring sun into our long winter.
Nina Lara is always finding gemstones with unusual shapes, colors and properties and is enjoying the process of creating a piece of jewelry from raw stone, beads, metal and wire.
She is using gemstones, pearls, precious metals in her jewelry designs. Different shades and colors of a natural turquoise and coral are her favorite materials. She prefers distinguished and bold pieces, her jewelry is always noticeable. Woman wearing her jewelry often are stopped by strangers just to ask a question about the piece they are wearing.
Her designs were featured in Bead & Button magazine in 2009 and 2010, in Step By Step Wire Jewelry in 2010 and in Bead Style in 2010. She is a member of Kirkland Art Center and exhibits her work in Kirkland, WA.
